Our Story

Tuff Tar is a family owned and operated local business that has been operating in the Quinte area since 2005. We are fully licensed and insured. Each and every one of our jobs is owner supervised - making sure the job is done right. We serve both commercial and residential customers with a wide range of services including sealing, crack filling, and asphalt repairs to maintaining asphalt driveways, condominium roadways, apartment buildings parking lots, commercial properties, and shopping centers. We also provide line painting services and foundation coating.

Asphalt Sealing

Sealing is the best way to protect your asphalt

against the damaging effects of the sun and rain.

As well it provides a barrier against oil and

gasoline spills. Sealing enhances the look of

your Driveway/Parking Lot and prolongs the

life of the asphalt. We use quality, uncut Black

Mac asphalt sealer applied by professionals.

We take extra care to avoid over spray on

brickwork, sidewalks and gardens/grass.

Crack Filling & Repairs

Aside from sealing the asphalt surface, crack sealing is the first level of protection against the deterioration of asphalt. Done correctly, crack sealing will prevent water from getting under the asphalt and washing the base material out (causing potholes). It also helps prevent the cracks from widening further during extreme cold weather. We use highway grade rubber crack filler.

Also, catching a pothole when it is small will save you a costly replacement later. A small pothole can be repaired quickly and easily and will prevent further deterioration. We provide small asphalt repairs that could save you from a liability issue later.

Line Painting

Do you want to make a great first impression? Your commercial parking lot is the first thing a customer sees when they arrive. A well maintained, freshly sealed, pothole free, well marked parking lot is your first step to impressing a customer. Get noticed! Parking lots that are striped properly are also much safer for customers and less of a liability to the owner.
